Cedar & Stone started in 2009 with one pickup, a wheelbarrow, and a stubborn belief: Central Oregon yards shouldn't fight the high desert — they should borrow from it.
Sixteen years later our crew still hand-sets every basalt stone, still specs plants that survive a July on the east side, and still answers the phone on Saturdays. Design, build, and long-term care — all from one local team.

Site walk-through, scaled planting plans, and concept boards built around native and drought-adapted palettes — penstemon, blue fescue, serviceberry, and Western juniper accents that thrive on a high-desert water budget.
Paver patios, dry-stacked basalt walls, cedar pergolas, steel-edged gravel paths, and fire pits — all hand-set and base-built to shrug off thirty freeze-thaw cycles a year without heaving.
Smart drip systems, weather-based controllers, French drains, and turf-replacement retrofits. We handle the paperwork for local water rebate programs and leave your meter spinning slower by July.
Weekly and bi-weekly mowing routes, crisp bed edging, seasonal organic fertilization, aeration, and overseeding — for the few lawns that still earn their water in this climate.
Structural pruning, ponderosa and aspen planting, and fire-wise defensible space — limbing up and spacing junipers to meet Central Oregon wildfire guidance and pass the district walk-through.
Spring wake-ups, fall leaf-outs, and irrigation blow-outs scheduled before the first Cascade freeze — so winter damage is a rumor, not a line item.

A free on-site visit. We listen first, then read light, slope, soil, and water — before a single plant is named.
Concept board, planting plan, and a line-item fixed quote. No allowances, no surprises after the shovels come out.
Our own crew — never day labor. Dust controlled, paths swept daily, sprinklers capped, and your pets minded like our own.
Seasonal care plans keep the design filling in the way it was drawn — denser, brighter, and tougher every year.
